Overview
Supply Qualified Teacher of the Deaf – part‑time (4 days, 0.8 FTE) to work in the Deaf Centre at Darrick Wood School from September 2026.
This permanent contract role will support pupils in the Deaf Centre and throughout the school.
Responsibilities
Teach and support students in the Deaf Centre and within the wider school setting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher of the Deaf with a mandatory qualification in Hearing Impairment (TDS) or Teaching Deaf Learners.
- Minimum BSL Level 1; additional qualifications an advantage.
- Must already hold Qualified Teacher Status. The employer may consider funding a two‑year part‑time course to obtain the mandatory qualification for the right candidate.
