We are seeking a part time, enthusiastic and experienced senior teacher to lead and develop the Personalised Pathways Service which sits within the Access and Inclusion team of the Local Authority. You will work closely with the Inclusion Manager as part of the Alternative Provision offer across Bromley. The Personalised Pathways Service offers personalised curriculums to children with complex SEND needs (PMLD) and children who are in palliative care. You will be someone who has worked in specialist settings and has experience of sensory curriculums.

As well as leading this small service, you will provide expert advice to the wider Access and Inclusion Teams, offering support to colleagues in Elective Home Education, Children Missing Education, Admissions and the Education Welfare Service.

The key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide management to a small team of HLTA’s delivering education packages within the service.
  • Monitor, evaluate and develop the education for children with profound SEND needs.
  • Support the Local Authority in the delivery and monitoring of appropriate support and intervention for young people out of mainstream education.
  • Ensure that all pupils in the service have access to quality assured, appropriate education within the remit of the service.
  • Take on the role and responsibility of DSL for all pupils in the service (training is available).
  • Work with and alongside the other teams within the Inclusion service to offer cohesive and engaging education.
