We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Adult Social Care and Public Health accountancy team providing a wide range of financial services to our budget holders and service directors across a range of services.
We are looking for a motivated individual to become a systems expert for Liquid Logic/ContrOCC for the purpose of monitoring the Adult Social Care revenue budget, identifying trends and variances. The individual would need to have excellent excel skills to become proficient in the downloading and manipulation of feeder system (Liquid Logic/ContrOCC) data in order to create information for the purposes of providing a continuous system of specific visualisations and datasets for the Adult Social Care management team. These would need to be augmented by utilising tools including Power BI to create and maintain dashboards to fulfil a business partnering function for the department.
The need for financial support from our services to the departments we work with are greater than ever, this is why at Bromley we are increasing the resources in our finance function to ensure the standard of service delivered remains at the highest level.
The Principal Finance Officer will report directly to a Senior Accountant. Operating in a busy environment, they will need to be flexible and be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial service to specified service areas, actively contributing to support other members of the finance team.
A key responsibility will be providing financial advice, information and guidance to budget holders and service managers. You will therefore need excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial issues to non-finance colleagues.
Qualifications- Be highly conversant and versatile in the approach and delivery of excel and Power BI based graphs, visualisations and dashboards
- Have experience of managing budgets, and knowledge of the principles of budget preparation and accounting
- Be experienced in the use of accounting packages Excel and Word
- Have a strong customer focus with good communication skills
- Be AAT qualified or part qualified CCAB
