About the Role
This role is within the Referral and Assessment Service. The Referral and Assessment Teams receive all new referrals from the Bromley MASH and undertake Child and Family assessments to determine how best childrenâs needs can be met. There are six teams, each consisting of a team manager and five social workers. The teams go on duty for one week every six weeks and during their duty week, social workers will receive new allocations.
Bromley has made a huge investment in staffing to ensure lower caseloads. Referral and Assessment Social Workers will carry an average of eight families. Social workers in the service are positive, motivated and feel that their current caseload allows them to complete good social work interventions with families.
As part of the Bromley Promise, there will be a dedicated twoâweek induction programme upon joining. You will be working within smaller teams of just five Social Workers/Senior Practitioners headed by a Team Manager. Senior managers are accessible, ensuring you have support when needed. Dedicated time is set aside for quality and reflective 1â1 supervision with your manager.
Bromley works in a relationshipâbased practice framework and seeks a social worker passionate about working with children and families. We look for an individual capable of forming good relationships with families and professionals to bring about positive changes for children and young people.
The Bromley Promise:
- Manageable caseloads for every Social Worker.
- Dedicated time for reflective supervision.
- Generous annual leave entitlement including an additional three days.
- Small cluster teams with one team manager supervising five Social Workers; twoâweek protected induction programme.
- Excellent learning and development opportunities with bespoke training.
- Easy and regular access to the leadership team.
