Founded in 1918, Bickley Park School is an IAPS Independent co‑educational day school for children aged 2½ to 13, with over 300 pupils on roll and we are proud to be part of the Sevenoaks Family of Schools. The school is situated in London’s greenest London Borough, on the fringes of Kent and with excellent train links to central London. The Pre‑Preparatory and Preparatory sites are located three hundred metres apart on Page Heath Lane in Bromley.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced Teaching Assistant to support access to learning for all pupils and provide general assistance to the Early Years Team. This role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. The Teaching Assistant will support access to learning for pupils and provide general assistance to the teacher in the management of pupils. All Teaching Assistants are responsible for supporting effective pastoral care to support pupils’ social and emotional progress as well as their learning. They are also required to contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school community. Responsibilities may include Outdoor learning, Forest School sessions and swimming lessons.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the pre‑prep library, maintaining the space, and ensuring books are returned & processed via the library app.
