Are you ready to help deliver an ambitious new Connect to Work (C2W) supported employment programme for Bromley helping residents with disabilities or health conditions into work and transform their lives? If so, we want you to join our team as an Employment Specialist.

About The Role

As an Employment Specialist within Bromley’s Connect to Work supported employment team (delivered under the new Bromley Works service), you will help residents with disabilities, mental/physical health conditions and other barriers to move into and sustain meaningful employment. You will provide one-to-one coaching, build relationships with local employers to create opportunities, and offer in-work support to ensure job retention and career progression. Working in line with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and/or Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) fidelity scales, you will collaborate with health and social care, community and council partners to deliver high-quality supported employment and improve long-term outcomes for Bromley residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one employment support, developing vocational action plans and helping residents secure and sustain paid work.
  • Build and maintain strong employer relationships, promoting inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments.
  • Deliver in-work coaching and job retention support, acting as a liaison between residents and employers to resolve workplace challenges.
  • Ensure programme compliance by maintaining accurate records, tracking outcomes, and working to IPS and/or SEQF fidelity standards.
  • Collaborate with health and social care, Council and community partners to provide integrated support and improve employment outcomes.
  • Raise awareness of the Connect to Work programme through employer engagement, networking, and community outreach.

About You

You will be a proactive and results-driven professional with a strong background in supported employment management and delivery.

You Will Have

  • Proven experience of helping people with disabilities, health conditions or other barriers into sustained paid work, including career coaching, job search and in-work support.
  • Strong employer engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to promote inclusive hiring and negotiate job opportunities.
  • Experience of managing caseloads and working collaboratively with NHS, social care, Jobcentre Plus and community partners to deliver integrated support.
  • Knowledge of the IPS model and supported employment approaches, along with understanding of employment law, workplace adjustments and the Equality Act 2010.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and IT skills, with the ability to track outcomes and ensure compliance with IPS/SEQF fidelity standards.
