Join us in making a real difference for Bromley residents. We are looking for a caring, motivated and experienced manager to join our Crisis & Resilience Fund service. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead an important front‑line service that helps residents at difficult times, making sure support is delivered fairly, promptly and with compassion. You will be joining a small, friendly and supportive team where your ideas, leadership and expertise will really matter. This role allows you to make a big impact on the lives of our residents, helping shape a service that supports people through crisis while promoting longer‑term resilience and stability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Crisis & Resilience Fund service, ensuring high‑quality, consistent and resident‑focused outcomes.
  • Assess and process Discretionary Housing Payment applications, applying knowledge of welfare benefits and related discretionary support.
  • Make sound, evidence‑based decisions and maintain fair and prompt service delivery.
  • Provide visible leadership to the team, support day‑to‑day operations and respond to urgent issues.
  • Ensure the service operates effectively and that residents receive a responsive and efficient service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housing support or a similar field.
  • Strong decision‑making skills and sound judgement.
  • Experience in leading a team in a service delivery environment.

Working Conditions

  • Grade: BR13
  • Salary: £46,952 – £50,867
  • Contract: Full Time fixed term until 31/03/2029
  • Working hours: 36 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Mainly office‑based due to the frontline nature of the service.
