Are you organised, proactive and confident working with contracts, suppliers and performance information? We are seeking an experienced and technically confident Contracts Monitoring Officer to support the governance, monitoring and delivery of contracts across Housing, Homelessness, Planning, Property and Regeneration. The role will support the full contract lifecycle, including mobilisation, performance monitoring, risk and issue management, change control, supplier engagement, financial compliance and exit planning. You will ensure contracts are delivered in line with agreed standards, KPIs, statutory duties, financial regulations and Council priorities.
Responsibilities
- Analyse performance and financial information, maintain robust contract records, and prepare monitoring reports.
- Identify areas of risk or improvement and support colleagues with best practice in contract management.
- Work closely with suppliers, internal services and partners to ensure contracts deliver required outcomes and demonstrate value for money.
- Support the full contract lifecycle including mobilisation, performance monitoring, risk and issue management, change control, and exit planning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in contract monitoring, contract delivery, performance management, supplier management or a related governance role.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and provide clear, evidence-based advice to support effective contract oversight and continuous improvement.
