The Post:
The School Business Manager will lead on all aspects of financial and resource management, administration, HR, facilities, ICT, health & safety, and marketing. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body to ensure that our school operates efficiently, meets its strategic objectives, and provides the best possible learning environment for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning and leadership of school business functions
- Financial management and budget setting, including securing additional income
- Oversight of human resources processes, staff management and development
- Premises, health & safety and risk assessment management
- Development and implementation of a marketing and communication strategy
- Driving efficiency and value for money through effective resource management
- Maintaining compliance with statutory and legal requirements including safeguarding and data protection
The Person:
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who brings:
- Proven experience in school business or educational leadership
- Strong financial acumen, including experience of budget planning and reporting
- A proactive approach to problem solving, change management and strategic planning
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams
- Strong ICT and data analysis skills (experience with SIMS and financial systems preferred)
- A relevant qualification such as CSBM, DSBM, or AAT; or working towards a CCAB accounting qualification
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and the values of community education
