Personal Advisor โ Children in Care and Care Experienced Teams
The Bexley Leaving Care team is part of Bexley Looked After Children and Permanence Service. The team works with young people aged 18โ25 who were previously in care, providing information, advice, guidance and support to enable a successful transition into adulthood.
We are looking for a committed and selfโmotivated person to support and advise Care Leavers aged 18โ25 as they move from care to independence.
Responsibilities
- Hold a caseload of care leavers, providing 1:1 support.
- Act as a Personal Advisor under the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the new Children and Social Work Act 2017.
- Review and update the Pathways Plan for each care leaver.
- Coordinate and attend meetings in other settings as required.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working with young people in a professional capacity.
- Understanding of the challenges facing care leavers.
- Enthusiasm and creativity in engaging with young people.
