About The Role
Do you want to be at the forefront of preventing homelessness and ending rough sleeping? We are looking for a flexible, experienced and motivated Service Manager to join our Housing Services Management team. This role is one of three Service Managers working together to lead our Housing Services, with initial focus on the Prevention, Triage and Rough Sleeping teams, playing a critical role in how we respond to housing need here in Bexley. This is a high impact role where your leadership will directly improve outcomes for residents, reduce reliance on temporary accommodation and help people secure safe and sustainable housing.
Responsibilities
- You will provide day to day leadership and strategic direction across our frontline homelessness services, including prevention, triage, duty and rough sleeping.
- You will lead talented teams, manage performance and budgets, and work closely with partners to deliver innovative, resident focused solutions.
- Lead services that prevent homelessness and respond effectively when people are in crisis.
- Drive continuous improvement, performance and value for money.
- Reduce rough sleeping and temporary accommodation through proactive, creative approaches.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners across health, voluntary and housing sectors.
- Use data, insight and professional judgement to shape service delivery.
- Support and develop managers and staff, fostering a positive, high performing culture.
Qualifications
- You will be an experienced housing leader with a strong understanding of homelessness legislation and prevention practice.
- You are confident operating at both strategic and operational level and thrive in a fast paced, high demand environment.
- Significant experience of managing homelessness or housing services at a senior level.
- A strong track record of leading teams through change.
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
- A commitment to prevention, early intervention and person centred services.
- The confidence to make decisions, manage risk and deliver results.
