This is an exciting opportunity to lead Corporate Health & Safety at the London Borough of Bexley. To provide strategic leadership and professional management of the Council's Corporate Health and Safety Service, ensuring the Council has an effective governance, assurance and risk management framework that enables compliance with statutory health and safety duties and promotes continual improvement across all Council services.
To lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Council's corporate health and safety management system, providing expert advice to senior leaders, Members and managers whilst embedding a positive organisational safety culture.
This is a permanent role. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be office based at least 2 days a week.
