The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To enable the Bexley Community Safety Partnership (BCSP) to operate in accordance with its statutory obligations and lead and deliver robust responses to operational delivery, strategies, policies, plans and protocols relevant to the work of the BCSP and the Community Safety team. To support the Senior Community Safety Co-ordinator (Strategy) by assisting with the smooth running of the BCSP Board and Delivery Group meetings as well as the development of working practices and processes within the Community Safety Team. To identify external funding streams and support the application of income generation.

Fixed term until 31st March 2027. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be office based at least 2 days a week. Location: Bexley Civic Offices.

Candidate Profile:

  • A-level education or relevant professional qualification of similar level or equivalent experience.
  • An understanding of current community safety policies including Crime and Disorder Act 1998, ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014 and other associated legislation.
  • Experience in providing information to Managers on monitoring performance and presenting information that is accurate, timely and relevant.
  • Understanding and experience in Safeguarding procedures and policies and implementing them.
  • Ability to share best practice and confidence to support other professionals providing clear and concise information.
  • Proven experience supporting community safety partners in multi-agency settings such as meetings.
  • Knowledge and experience of using financial systems and monitoring budgets.
  • Experience in producing clear concise communications including publications on social media, Press releases and Newsletters.
  • Experience of gathering and collating information using a variety of methods and to a variety of differing audiences.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with varying levels of professionals across various organisations.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and prioritise and organise workload.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Interviews are anticipated to be scheduled to be held w/c 16th March.
