Overview
As a Youth Justice Service Officer, you will work within the Youth Offending Team to deliver interventions designed to prevent youth offending. You will supervise statutory orders, ensure compliance with court sentences, prepare reports, support young people in custody, manage a caseload, and use assessment tools to understand offending behaviors. You will develop intervention plans, promote multi-agency working, and aims to achieve positive outcomes for children and the community. Your role involves attending court, maintaining accurate records, providing support for victims and offenders, and engaging in continuous professional development.
An experienced Youth Justice Officer with a background in the Probation Service. You are passionate about working with children and young people to prevent offending and are eager to make a difference in their lives. You will be flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a multi-agency team, and will have strong professional values and integrity. You must be able to start quickly and work hybrid, traveling when needed to meet with young people.
