About the role
Housing Regulatory Services covers all aspects of housing enforcement work. In this role you will be one of the lead officers working to improve fire safety and housing conditions in tower blocks across the borough. Working in partnership with the relevant departments and organisations you will undertake investigations and take appropriate enforcement action to ensure the safety of residents in these complex blocks. This established inspection programme post‑Grenfell requires a competent and driven officer to continue to move the programme forward while keeping abreast of legal changes.
About you
You have experience completing Housing Health and Safety Risk assessments under the Housing Act 2004 and identifying hazards for fire, including issues caused by combustible cladding. You are unfazed by large property inspections, drafting complex legal documents and schedules of work, and able to progress complex cases in a timely manner accurately and in accordance with the relevant legislation and guidelines.
