We are currently recruiting for a qualified senior social worker who is passionate about Children’s social work to join our Family Support & Safeguarding team. We are looking for child and family focused Social workers across our children’s services. Our teams manage complex cases and organise plans to meet the needs of children and young people through care plans and pathway plans. Safeguarding Social Workers are confident about working with partners within and outside of the Council to deliver effective and efficient services. Working with us we will give you the time and support you need to make a difference. Promoting creativity is at the heart of our practice. Social Workers are encouraged to share ideas, bring about positive change and strive to continuously improve outcomes for our vulnerable children and young people.
Special requirements for this postThis post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check. The postholder will need to have a social work degree and hold a current SWE (Formerly HCPC) registration.
About youYou are a passionate, caring and dedicated Social Worker; a good communicator who will have the ability to work with a broad range of professionals, including working respectfully with children, young people and their families. You are able to make evidenced based decisions and seek management advice when necessary. You are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with children, young people, their families and other professionals. We are driving down caseloads, raising creativity, and working to create a balance of visits with home and office working using excellent IT and mobile working technology.
