You will be adept at multi-tasking and unfazed by the demands of multiple stakeholders. You will possess excellent communication skills, together with a positive, professional manner and the ability to work with others effectively. Given the nature of this role, excellent attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to use your own initiative, prioritise effectively and work to deadlines. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who shares the Council's core values:

  • Deliver our best every day - and do what we promise
  • Respond in a prompt, positive way to our community's needs
  • Inspire others with our attitudes and actions
  • Value people for who they are and what they can do
  • Engage with others to improve our resilience and flexibility

In addition to this, we offer a generous pension scheme, wider wallet store discounts, discounted gym membership and season/travel ticket loan.

We operate a Guaranteed Interview Scheme (GIS). This guarantees progression to the first stage of a selection process (such as test, assessment exercise and interview) to any candidate with a disability who has applied under the GIS scheme.
