We are pleased to offer an exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a motivated and highly capable IT Project Manager/Business Analyst to join our collaborative and high-performing PMO team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting delivery of individual IT projects, managing key stages of larger initiatives, and overseeing work streams within programmes that have interdependencies across other projects. Your analytical skills and project management expertise will ensure efficient project delivery, alignment with organisational objectives, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Special requirements for this post:

  • Proven knowledge, understanding and experience of working within an IT Projects environment.
  • Recognised Project Management methodology qualification (Prince2, Agile, PMI, etc.), or willingness to work towards.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as required.

About you:

You will be a positive self-starter with experience working within a pivotal role in an IT project management environment. With knowledge of project planning, implementation and best practice methodologies, you will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective relationships with people from all levels and backgrounds. Motivated to deliver, you will have:

  • Experience managing and/or assisting with multiple IT technical projects from the beginning to end.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting schedules, working closely with project teams to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.
  • Strong people skills, with experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience of high-level analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead project team meetings, noting actions and tracking to completion.
  • Experience writing complex project related reports.
  • Knowledge of Council policies, procedures and visions.
