Responsibilities

  • Responsible to the Principal – Housing Condition Claims for delivery of legal advice and casework in the area of Housing & Litigation Law within Barking and Dagenham Legal Services.
  • Support the service in the delivery and development of Legal Services.
  • Prepare and process cases and legal documents in the area of disrepair for Housing & Litigation.
  • Carry a caseload and work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Personally manage complex casework and legal projects in the area of Housing & Litigation Law.
  • Provide responsive advice on the management of risk on legal issues.
  • Work within the Legal Housing team to provide accurate, comprehensive and proactive legal advice to internal and external clients within the legal specialism of disrepair decisions and case work.

About you

  • You will be a solicitor/legal executive/barrister with experience of Housing Conditions Claims ("Disrepair") and able to run your own caseload.
  • Prepare and process cases and legal documents in the area of disrepair for Housing and Litigation.
  • Carry a caseload and work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Personally manage complex casework and legal projects in the area of Housing & Litigation Law.
  • Provide responsive advice on the management of risk on legal issues.
  • Work within the Legal Housing team to provide accurate, comprehensive and proactive legal advice to internal and external clients within the legal specialism of disrepair decisions and case work.
