The Better Care Fund Manager will help Barking and Dagenham partners across health and social care to ensure good governance, effective decision making and partnership working, and value for money outcomes based commissioning.
About you
The Better Care Fund incorporates a complex programme of work and you will be knowledgeable about how the Better Care Fund works and the priorities that it encapsulates. You will be required to have excellent oversight over the programme, including developing the programme of work in consultation with partners, supporting the planning, monitoring and performance management of the Better Care Fund, and having excellent budget management. You will be expected to manage the annual planning process and ensure that all of the conditions of the grants are met. You will need to lead and manage the s75 arrangements, which will include writing reports and delivering presentations to a variety of partnerships and committees.
About us
You will be highly organised and fully responsible for completing all national and local returns and ensuring that these go through governance and are signed off in accordance with funding regulations. You will need to have excellent partnership skills, ensuring that all partners are feeding into your workstreams and encouraging collaboration and the delivery of high quality cost‑effective provision. You will have experience of contract management, writing reports and specifications, managing complex meetings and problem‑solving. You will understand the older people’s commissioning landscape and wider including hospital discharge and the variety of workstreams traditionally under the BCF including best practice. You will represent Barking and Dagenham fully on the BCF and be the expert in Barking and Dagenham.
