Warehouse E-commerce Picker/ Packer

Job Description:

UKLOVESDIY is an online retailer based in London operating since May 2020. We select products we sell online, we make them e-commerce ready and sell in various online platforms including our own website. Our vision is "To provide exceptional service to delight our customers by being the best in our industry". We value people who are honest, reliable and get things done.

The role is focused on warehouse operations, order picking, packing, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately picking and packing orders from different sections of the warehouse, ensuring all items are correctly picked and packed according to high standards.
  • Labelling and Dispatch: Ensuring orders are labelled correctly and ready for dispatch, with a focus on smooth operation and efficiency.
  • Stock Management: Updating stock records, dealing with stock issues, and using warehouse management systems to maintain accuracy.
  • Customer Interactions: Handling order-related queries through Zendesk and managing customer returns.
  • Manual Handling: Carrying out daily manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 15kg.
  • Replenishing Stock: Ensuring stock levels are maintained in the department.
  • Processing Sample Requests: Organizing and preparing the sample orders for shipment, ensuring they are dispatched in a timely manner.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage, particularly if you've worked with pump trucks and forklifts.
  • Organizational Skills: You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met even under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for internal collaboration and dealing with customer inquiries.
  • IT Literacy: Comfort using computers and willingness to learn warehouse management systems.
  • Physical Capability: Capable of handling manual tasks and lifting up to 15kg safely.

Compensation:

  • Salary: £12.21 per hour. 20 hours-40 hours per week over 4-5 days.
  • Working Schedule: on 5 days of 7.
