Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, with up to two days working from home per week.

We are a successful, forward-thinking firm of residential managing agents with a strong reputation for treating our clients’ properties as if they were our own. We’re now seeking a Service Charge Accounts Assistant to join our young, dynamic and diverse residential property team based in Islington—an easily accessible, vibrant area with excellent transport links.

This is a pivotal role within our team, supporting the smooth financial management of residential portfolios. You’ll be responsible for issuing service charge and ground rent demands, allocating payments efficiently, and managing credit control processes with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Property Managers and the Finance Director to load budgets onto MRI Qube promptly.
  • Finalise covering letters and commentary for service charge demands.
  • Generate and issue service charge and ground rent invoices via post and email.
  • Ensure service charge transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Calculate and issue on-account charges through MRI Qube.
Credit Control Duties
  • Generate and issue payment reminders in line with internal policies.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants regarding outstanding charges.
  • Log and help resolve disputes, working closely with Property Managers.
  • Recommend escalation actions when arrears procedures are exhausted.
  • Liaise with third-party debt recovery partners and manage related cases through to resolution.
General Administrative Duties
  • Maintain up-to-date central logs of service charges, ground rents, and arrears.
  • Provide monthly reporting to Directors.
  • Manage communication and workflow with external debt recovery partners.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong ability to work independently and confidently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking capability with effective time management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, both numerically and in written work.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with a structured, methodical approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with tenants, colleagues, and third parties.
  • IT literate, with solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience in property management or service charge accounting (advantageous but not essential).
  • Working knowledge of MRI Qube (highly advantageous).
