Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy operations team. You will play a vital role in the smooth running of our warehouse, ensuring that equipment is maintained, prepared, and dispatched accurately and on time for events, exhibitions, and AV installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and prepping AV and exhibition equipment for upcoming projects
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Checking equipment in/out, ensuring items are tested, cleaned, and properly maintained
- Maintaining inventory records using warehouse software (e.g., Current RMS or similar)
- Supporting the build and breakdown of exhibition stands as required (on-site when needed)
- Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Assisting in minor repairs or maintenance of AV kit, displays, and stand hardware
- Supporting drivers and logistics coordinators with efficient vehicle loading
- Flagging any missing, damaged or faulty equipment promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, AV, live events, or exhibition build environment
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands‑on attitude
- Comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet
- Basic technical knowledge of AV kit or exhibition hardware (training can be provided)
- Forklift license (advantageous, not essential)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional early mornings, late evenings or weekends, especially during peak seasons
- A good team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
