Overview
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
Location: South London (mobile working; van provided; contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required)

Salary: £39,707 per annum
Grade: DM Tech 05

Responsibilities
- Carry out plastering maintenance repairs and decorating within a responsive repairs context for the South region housing stock (South London, Lambeth and Southwark).
- Deliver quality workmanship within your trade with minimal supervision; be a confident painter and decorator and, if possible, skilled in other trades to supplement plastering, painting and decorating work.
- Carry out patch repairs and larger plastering repairs; experience in plasterboard, bonding, finishing and rendering.
- Work with an L&Q van for business use; must hold a driving licence and provide own hand tools (power tools supplied).
- Maintain effective communication; work in a building/housing maintenance environment with knowledge of varied housing stock.
- Deliver high levels of customer service as a first point of contact to residents; aim for right-first-time service and limit follow-ons where possible.
- Work within the in-house maintenance team core hours (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm); general operations as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Sound working trade qualification, knowledge and experience in maintenance.
- Experience gained within a maintenance environment.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service with a right-first-time approach.
- Health and Safety conscious; previous experience in a similar role.
- Dual trade skills are advantageous.
- Be able to drive and have own hand tools; power tools provided by the employer.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a housing environment.
