Join our Manchester Direct Maintenance Team at L&Q: As an Apprentice Electrician, you will receive training to enable you to support the team in providing a first-class service to our customers and will be expected to assist in carrying out electrical repairs and installations. The successful candidates will be working under instruction and supervision but also taking responsibility individually when appropriate, for their own work (and within their assessed abilities and skill set). This will include carrying out day to day repairs, working with electrical materials and associated products to learn to create and install building components assisting with installations and repairs.
Apprenticeship details: Level 3 Electrical installation and Maintenance Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship roles offer a maximum four and a half year fixed term contract, during this time you will undertake a Level 3, Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship learning will support your development and chosen career path. Whilst undertaking the apprenticeship, your manager will help guide your development and day to day work. You will also be assigned a mentor who will provide extra support throughout your role whilst you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands-on, work-based skills.

Other essential information: Must be able to work in the UK. NB: To qualify for apprenticeship funding, the individual must have a valid and eligible residency status. This usually requires residency in the UK for at least 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship. Please note if you have already completed or partially completed Level 2 Electrical Installation your application cannot be considered as you will not qualify for Apprenticeship funding. If you are unsure if you would be eligible for funding, please feel free to contact us before applying. A full UK Driving Licence is not a requirement for application of this apprenticeship programme, however following completion, a full UK Driving Licence will be required to be considered for progression to a Trainee position. Successful candidates will be given a start date in August.
