This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact compliance supervisory role, where you will shape how electrical safety and quality are delivered across our in-house workforce.
Safe, compliant homes is central to our service delivery. This role is critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting audits, improving workmanship standards, and reducing risk across all electrical activities carried out by our in-house teams.
As a Qualified Supervisor, you'll set the standard, influence service delivery, and ensure our homes remain safe for our residents.
This role combines the responsibilities of an Electrical Supervisor and Qualified Supervisor (QS), with accountability for electrical compliance across our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). You will lead on technical assurance, inspection regimes, certification, and regulatory adherence, ensuring all electrical works meet BS 7671 and organisational standards, whilst supporting efficiency and operative performance.
You will report into the Electrical Compliance Manager and sit within the Maintenance Services team, working closely with Maintenance supervisors, electricians, and compliance stakeholders across the business.
Your impact in the role:
Main duties:
- Act as the organisations Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC)
- Oversee electrical compliance across all DLO activities
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks
- Ensure adherence to BS 7671, statutory regulations, and internal policies
- Manage electrical certification and compliance records
- Support and mentor electricians and supervisors to improve standards
- Identify trends, risks, CPD, and areas for improvement in service delivery
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation inc. AM2 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 / 2394 & 2395 or equivalent)
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, QS (NICEIC or equivalent), compliance experience
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Strong knowledge of electrical certification, inspection & testing, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working within a social housing, maintenance, or DLO environment
- Experience of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to challenge non-compliance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
