Join our Building Safety Team at L&Q:
This is a great opportunity to join our growing Building Safety team during an exciting period of change. As our Landlord Certificate Lead, you will play a key role in a fast-paced, data-driven environment helping us meet new Building Safety Act requirements while delivering excellent service to our residents. As part of the Building Safety team, you will report into the Building & Fire Safety Engagement Manager.
Your impact in the role:
As our Landlord Certificate Lead, you will take ownership of delivering accurate, compliant Landlords Certificates, ensuring certificates are completed, maintained, stored and issued in full compliance with the Building Safety Act and internal policy. You will work closely with the Homeownership team, build strong relationships and provide expert support on Building Safety Act enquiries. You will provide expert advice and coordination on sales, remortgages and other leaseholder transactions impacted by the Landlords Certificate requirements, playing a key role in improving our data, processes, and overall service delivery. You will make a real, positive impact for leaseholders affected by cladding and mortgage restrictions.
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Good understanding of building safety legislation, leasehold and their regulatory environments
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload with attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex information, maintain accurate records and meet statutory timescales
- Comfortable engaging with internal & external stakeholders at all levels to influence decisions
- Ability to work methodically and independently, exercising sound judgement and attention to detail in a compliance-critical environment
Desirable:
- Effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports/data
- Ability to develop, document and improve policies, procedures and guidance, translating legislation and regulation into clear operational practice
- Experience using bespoke housing software (D365)
