Join our Communities Team at L&Q: Come and lead our resident liaison, community, rehousing, and regeneration activities on our schemes across London and in the northwest of England. We are looking for someone to bring visible best practice leadership to our community-based regeneration, development and remediation projects, ensuring our residents' needs are always put first. The role is a maternity leave cover that reports into the Head of Communities in our Property and Investment division. The role line manages two site based Communities Managers in London and Cheshire, who manage a team of Communities Coordinators between them. If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role:

  • Leading a sub team of six to eight to deliver community development, governance, and rehousing on a large-scale regeneration project in West London, resident engagement on two remedial works schemes in the northwest of England and support the pipeline of estate regeneration projects in East and South London.
  • Leading your team to deliver relevant statutory formal consultation for regeneration, including estate regeneration ballots, and our growth pipeline opportunities.
  • Write and present governance papers to senior leaders to develop new projects and update on existing ones.
  • Work with a wide range of teams across L&Q, as well as development partners, contractors, consultants and directly with residents and local stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven track record of managing the delivery of regeneration and community development or investment activities - from inception to completion - on new build, regeneration, redevelopment or remediation projects.
  • You will be an experienced people manager with demonstrable experience of effectively managing site-based and remote staff on challenging projects to contribute positively to high performance.
  • You will have knowledge of leading effective communications associated with regeneration, remediation or development-based projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to source and present innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, tenancies and licences impacting rehousing, including Compulsory Purchase Orders and estate regeneration ballots.
  • Strong track record of using project programme software, including developing complex programmes.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with a wider range of stakeholders.
