Would you like to lead a great team of staff and deliver excellent services for our residents? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing manager. You will need to be a customer-focused team player who wants to drive performance and improvement and make a real difference to residents lives
Your impact in the role:
We are looking to appoint an Area Housing Manager to join our team within South West London. This role will primarily cover stock in Lambeth and Southwark, however these areas may change depending on the needs of the business.
In this role you will lead a team of Neighbourhood Housing Leads and Housing Assistants to deliver a responsive, efficient, customer focused housing management service. You will have a comprehensive understanding of tenancy and leasehold management including all aspects of anti-social behaviour and vulnerability.
The successful candidate will have proven management experience in a housing management setting, be performance driven and solution focused. You will act as a champion of service improvement and Customer Service and collaborate widely with internal and external stakeholders
You will demonstrate strong organisation skills and have the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
You will be required to attend the office in Mordon, undertake site visits across your patch, lead on resident and stakeholder meetings and carry out audits across the region. You will also be required to participate in an out of hours on-call rota.

What you'll bring:
- Previous Management experience in housing management
- Housing management experience and knowledge of all aspects of Tenancy and Leasehold management including but not limited to Anti-Social behaviour, Service Charges, Vulnerable Residents and Safeguarding
- Have the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver a high quality, effective customer focused service in a demanding, public facing environment is essential to this role
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationship
- Innovative, solution focused with excellent organisational and reporting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities to achieve targets and deadlines.
- Project Management skills are desirable
Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to ensure an effective, efficient and customer focused delivery of all aspects of Tenancy and Leasehold Management, including ASB and Vulnerability
- To develop, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders and partners, promoting and representing L&Q at meetings/ events to the highest standard
- Managing and leading a team to deliver on performance and achieve customer excellence.
- Providing coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and support to front line colleagues
- Managing risk and compliance
- Leading on key performance compliance and delivery
- Ideally hold CIH Level 4 or willing to work towards this.
