The Role:
You will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, reporting and control to ensure the company is operating effectively and efficiently. As a Financial Accountant, you will be the key link between ATC Finance and the Financial Reporting/ Treasury/ Tax/ Pension/ Audit departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards, group policies and reporting timetables.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure that the company maintains appropriate corporate governance and that statutory and regulatory reporting standards are maintained and complied with.
Ensure that the business has appropriate financial controls, processes and policies to enhance business performance and protect company assets.
Take ownership for the reconciliation and review of the various balance sheet reconciliations, period end control accounts and facilitate the period end checklist efficiently and accurately.
Own reporting in respect of company pension scheme, including calculation and posting of changes in valuation as per Group guidance.
Manage all aspects of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with CAPEX request process, updating and maintaining the fixed asset register, depreciation, annual impairment reviews and maintenance of associated property schedules to ensure accurate submissions for insurance declarations.
Lead the financial accounting and reporting to Group on a monthly basis (Tagetik) (including supporting KPI’s) and the statutory accounts at year end. Preparation of the statutory and tax pack submissions to Group.
Assist in the preparation of all other statutory requirements including VAT submissions, Corporation tax and Income tax, Payment Practices and Gender Pay reporting.
Oversee cash management, including weekly cashflow forecasts and ensure the bank mandate is up-to-date and in line with company requirements and management of company credit cards together with supporting analysis for submission to Group.
Interface with internal and external auditors to ensure that all relevant and necessary information is provided to ensure the satisfactory completion of any internal audits and the annual statutory audit.

Qualifications
Strong Financial skills – ACCA/ CIMA part qualified minimum
Excellent I.T skills – MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel & Word), SAP B1 Accounting Software
Ability to travel to different depots across ATC network as and when required
Experience
Previous experience within a similar role is essential
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
