About Us: At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough. What You’ll Do:
- Implementation and maintenance of Safety systems, Production efficiency and Quality output at the relevant Depot site.
- Competence Assessment of relevant Team Members.
- Wellbeing of all relevant personnel.
- Implementation of Customer requirements.
- Production of meaningful KPI’s for internal and external monitoring.
- Mentoring and coaching of Team Members.
- Assisting with continuous improvement innovations.
- Ensuring work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards.
- Carry out fitter duties, when required, to ensure minimum service levels are achieved.
- Carrying out and recording of start of shift briefs and daily safety meetings.
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience or understanding working in a rail maintenance environment Management of rail vehicle depot operations.
- Key Skills: People management training is desirable, Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, Good understanding of applicable health, safety and environment standards.
