Contract – Permanent.

Working Hours – working on average 30 hours per week, 20:00 - 05:00 on a 4 on 4 off shift basis.

Location - Arriva TrainCare Crewe

Salary - £20,974.92 per annum

At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

What will I be doing as a Train Presentation Operative?

Working as a Train Presentation Operative, you will make sure that trains delivered for service are clean, safe and meet our clients expectations. Duties will include:

  • Completing train presentation duties such as cleaning interior doors, windows and tables, vacuuming and litter removal
  • Preparation of cleaning kits and equipment at the start and end of each shift
  • Ensuring all paperwork is carried out correctly and fully completed

What will I need to become a Train Presentation Operative?

  • Previous experience working as a cleaner, ideally within a commercial/ industrial environment
  • Awareness and understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a small team and independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to pass an industry standard medical

Please note that due to legal requirements on a night shift agreement you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role.
