Overview
The London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET) is an academically selective sixth form in the heart of Tottenham. It supports students of diverse backgrounds through extra academic and pastoral support, and aims to allow them to flourish. LAET opened in September 2017 and now has more than 800 students on roll. The role of Deputy Head of Year will start in the Autumn term 2026.
Responsibilities
- Work with the English department to inspire aspirational and hard‑working students, supporting them to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Deploy and manage the day‑to‑day duties of the two Learning Support Assistants.
- Act as key worker for a number of students, coordinating follow‑ups to new referrals, gathering information from teaching staff, mental health lead, pastoral and safeguarding teams.
- Support the SENDCo with the management of EHCPs.
- Coordinate access arrangements for students requiring additional support.

- Exceptional subject knowledge and experience working with 16–19 year‑olds in a post‑16 setting.
