At London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT), our mission is to equip learners with practical skills and industry-focused knowledge that bridge the gap between education and employment. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators by delivering high-quality, flexible, and relevant learning experiences.

LAAT delivers programmes leading to awards of Plymouth Marjon University to around 2,000 students across three London campuses. Our student community is diverse and international, and many of our students come from across Europe.

Every student deserves a fair, clear and consistent process when an academic integrity concern is raised. You will make sure that happens. You will manage each case from first referral to a complete, decision ready file. You will also be the main email contact for students throughout their case. You will join a small, supportive team and help shape how the process works in practice. This role gives you direct experience of UK higher education regulation, which is a strong foundation for a career in quality, compliance or student services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Log every referral with a unique case reference and route it in line with the Student Regulations Framework
  • Check case details, including student ID, module, attempt, marks and any previous cases
  • Review Turnitin reports as indicators only, never as proof
  • Gather evidence and prepare clear case files for decision makers
  • Track notice periods, appeal windows, meetings and decision dates, and flag any risk early
  • Prepare referral packs for cases that go to Plymouth Marjon University
  • Send notifications, reminders, meeting invitations and approved outcome letters from the shared mailbox
  • Write in plain, neutral English using approved templates
  • Offer clarification in Bulgarian or Slovak where it helps students understand the process
  • Respond to student queries within 2 working days
  • Refer welfare concerns to the right team
  • File every email and invitation against the correct case
  • Keep the case register accurate in Excel and SharePoint
  • Produce regular case reports and short PowerPoint updates
  • Handle all data in line with UK GDPR

PLEASE NOTE This is an impartial, process focused role. You will not decide whether misconduct has occurred, set penalties, advise students on their defence or predict outcomes. These decisions sit with the named decision makers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a clear, neutral and formal writing style
  • Fluency in Bulgarian or Slovak
  • A UK undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or a recognised equivalent, in a relevant field
  • Confident use of Microsoft 365, including Outlook shared mailboxes, rules and calendars, and Teams meeting invitations
  • Advanced Excel, and confident use of Word and PowerPoint
  • Precision, organisation, discretion and impartiality
  • A calm, professional manner in difficult conversations
  • Experience in higher education administration, student services, quality or case management
  • Familiarity with Turnitin, academic integrity processes and UK GDPR
  • Experience of Power Automate, Microsoft Forms or simple dashboards

YOUR DEVELOPMENT

  • Structured induction, including safeguarding, EDI and data protection training
  • Annual CPD plan through the PDR process
  • Hands on experience of UK higher education regulation and quality processes

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Pension scheme and generous annual leave
  • Staff wellbeing programme and Employee Assistance Programme
  • A supportive and values led team

LAAT is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks and, where applicable, an enhanced DBS check.
