Senior Quantity Surveyor – Restoration & Conservation Principal Contractor £70,000 – £90,000 ALL IN PACKAGE Central London About Us: A prominent player in the restoration sector, is seeking an experienced and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. For more than 20 years, their team has been dedicated to providing outstanding restoration and conservation services across various projects, spanning commercial, ecclesiastical, listed buildings, and monuments. With a strong presence and positive name in the industry, this principal contractor specialise in brickwork, cladding, stonework (ext. & int.) and decoration restorations and conservation of high-value heritage projects, working with esteemed estates, national trusts and private clients. Role Overview: The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be taking financial oversight of 16-26 projects concurrently between £300,000 – £2,000,000. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) On-site measurements Sub-contract orders Valuations Variations and hands-on involvement Forecast reporting to suite of directors Problem solving on-site through working with contracts management and site staff This role requires problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to be hands-on in the field. What they’re looking for: We are seeking an individual ideally with a Prime Residential build experience, particularly those with experience in heritage projects, c. £20M-£50M turnover. You will also need to demonstrate a hunger to contribute and grow within the company. They value individuals who can identify and address challenges, challenge internal processes, and maintain strong accounting practices and build rapport with subcontractors and make the most of these relationships. You will be an individual who is not shy to point out problems and through your hands-on building knowledge, be able to give feedback and input into fix. Office Culture: They foster a positive working environment with no politics and a focus on rewarding individuals for their contributions. The team will regularly mix and all get on. Salary & Package: The salary is merit-based, with considerations for what the candidate brings to the table, but the company have given an expectation this falls between £70,000 – £90,000. Travel allowances are provided, excluding home-to-office commutes. The company operates on a transparent bonus system based on performance also. Career Progression: They are invested in their employees’ growth, and the successful candidate can expect directorship within 18-36 months based on performance. One of the Directors who joined as a Contracts Manager is currently undergoing a MBO, showcasing the potential for upward mobility within the business.
