Mechanical Construction Manager – M&E Contractor Location: London Employment Type: Permanent or Contract (CIS/Ltd) Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Travel + Package About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a growing specialist M&E contractor delivering high-spec commercial and fit-out projects across Central London. This is a hands-on site-based role where you’ll take full ownership of mechanical packages from design coordination through to commissioning and client handover. You’ll be joining a team known for its high standards and technical excellence in the London construction market. Key Responsibilities: * Manage full delivery of mechanical works (HVAC, CHW/LTHW, public health, plumbing, etc.) * Lead site teams, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure timely, quality delivery * Coordinate procurement, labour, materials, and progress reporting * Oversee health & safety on site (RAMS, inductions, audits, toolbox talks) * Ensure works are delivered to technical specs, programme milestones and budget * Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams to resolve site issues and technical queries * Manage commissioning, snagging, and handover documentation Requirements: * 4+ years\’ experience managing mechanical packages within M&E or building services projects * Previous experience delivering commercial, Cat A/B fit-out, or shell & core projects in London * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including plantrooms and HVAC * Ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with other trades * Comfortable using drawings, issuing RFIs, and tracking progress reports * Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS (black/gold), First Aid (desirable) * Trade or degree-qualified in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering What’s on Offer: * Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience * Travel expenses and competitive package included * Long-term pipeline of high-profile projects in Central London * Fast-paced but supportive company culture * Opportunities for progression into Senior PM or Project Lead roles Ready to Apply?
