An established and growing building services contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to support continued growth and help develop its mechanical delivery arm. The business has a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation on the electrical side of projects, typically delivering schemes ranging from £10k up to £1.5m.

This is a commercially led Mechanical PM role with involvement from initial client engagement through to final delivery:

  • Attending initial client meetings and site surveys
  • Producing estimates, tenders, and pricing for mechanical packages
  • Supporting bid submissions and winning new work
  • Managing projects through the full lifecycle — pre-construction to handover
  • Overseeing mechanical subcontractors and site supervisors
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining programme, quality, cost control, and client relationships
  • Regular office-based work, with visits to live sites as required

This is very much a management and coordination role, rather than a site-based position.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager (or similar)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services
  • Comfortable producing estimates, tenders, and pricing
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Commercially aware, organised, and client-facing
  • Interested in helping grow a mechanical division, not just running jobs

What’s on Offer:

  • £65,000 - £75,000 + package
  • Opportunity to play a key role in developing the mechanical side of the business
  • Autonomy and influence within a growing contractor
  • Office-based role with site exposure
  • Supportive, hands-on leadership

Location & Working Style:

Office-based with travel to sites as required. Face-to-face meetings typically held on-site or client-side. Collaborative, non-corporate working environment.

Interview Process:

Initial Teams interview (placeholder). Follow-up face-to-face meeting (location TBC).
