An established Main Contractor is looking to appoint an External Works Manager for a major residential project in Epsom. This role will oversee drainage, utilities, hard & soft landscaping and associated external packages from substructure through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing drainage, utilities and external works packages
- Coordinating hard & soft landscaping contractors
- Monitoring progress against programme
- Managing QA and inspections with NHBC/Building Control
- Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and design details
- Carrying out site inspections and quality checks
- Attending progress meetings and contractor briefings
- Supporting health & safety compliance across external works
Requirements:
- Experience managing external works on large residential schemes
- Strong understanding of drainage, utilities and landscaping
- Procore/software experience preferred
- Ability to read drawings and monitor technical compliance
- SMSTS & CSCS essential
- Temporary Works / First Aid advantageous
