An established Main Contractor is looking to appoint an External Works Manager for a major residential project in Epsom. This role will oversee drainage, utilities, hard & soft landscaping and associated external packages from substructure through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing drainage, utilities and external works packages
  • Coordinating hard & soft landscaping contractors
  • Monitoring progress against programme
  • Managing QA and inspections with NHBC/Building Control
  • Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and design details
  • Carrying out site inspections and quality checks
  • Attending progress meetings and contractor briefings
  • Supporting health & safety compliance across external works

Requirements:

  • Experience managing external works on large residential schemes
  • Strong understanding of drainage, utilities and landscaping
  • Procore/software experience preferred
  • Ability to read drawings and monitor technical compliance
  • SMSTS & CSCS essential
  • Temporary Works / First Aid advantageous

Package:

  • £58k-£68k DOE
