An established and growing Principal Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their Small Works division, delivering fast-paced electrical projects across London and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected business delivering projects within live commercial environments, working with high-profile clients from initial concept through to successful handover.

The Role

You'll take ownership of multiple electrical projects, ensuring they're delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with clients, designers, commercial teams and subcontractors, you'll oversee the full project lifecycle while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical projects from survey through to completion and handover.
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead site teams, driving programme, quality and health & safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, designers and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project programmes, risks, variations, RFIs, technical queries and change control.
  • Ensure projects remain commercially compliant and work closely with Quantity Surveyors to protect project margins.
  • Produce project documentation including RAMS, H&S documentation, progress reports and technical submissions.
  • Carry out site surveys, scope reviews and support estimating activities where required.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure all testing and commissioning documentation is completed.
  • Identify opportunities to add value, secure additional works and strengthen client relationships.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering multiple electrical projects within live commercial environments.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing fast-track small works projects.
  • Excellent programme management and organisational skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Black ECS Card
  • 18th Edition
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
  • AM2S
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management qualification
  • Mechanical services knowledge
  • Experience of RIBA design and delivery stages
