The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, with the current portfolio including new leisure facilities, educational buildings, and commercial developments. Main Responsibilities as the Contracts Manager:
- Take full responsibility for delivering multiple projects to agreed cost, time, and quality standards.
- Act as a key liaison between the design, commercial, and site teams.
- Oversee Health & Safety management, promoting a proactive approach to on-site safety.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
- Manage and coordinate sub-contractors and direct labour forces.
- Produce accurate records, reports, and progress updates.
- Provide strategic input on labour costing, design feasibility, and project profitability.
- Support and mentor project staff to foster a culture of continuous development.
What You’ll Need:
- A proven track record of managing refurbishment and new build projects, ideally within the leisure, education, or commercial sectors.
- Experience working within frameworks and managing repeat client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including design, quantity surveying, and procurement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A sound understanding of Health & Safety and relevant regulations.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- A degree or HND in a construction-related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
