A leading Steel Engineering Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company has a proven track record of promoting staff and offers a family-feel atmosphere with flexible working options, including the ability to work from home 3-4 days a week.
The role involves overseeing all commercial aspects of multiple projects, including:
- Dealing with clients and their representatives
- Day-to-day commercial/surveying activities of allocated projects
- Continuous liaison with the Project Manager
- Development of project cost plans
- Procurement of subcontract work packages
- Measuring and valuing works carried out on site
- Formulation of monthly valuations and commercial reporting
- Recognising H&S, risk and margin when carrying out all works
Essential experience required includes:
- 5+ years' experience working with a Steel Engineering Contractor
- Vast knowledge of Steelwork
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and manage final accounts
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
