We are representing a highly regarded, growing main contractor with a strong reputation across London for delivering high quality residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple live schemes across Central and North London. This is a key hire for the business.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing contracts, commercial performance and project delivery, ensuring schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to exceptional standards.

The Role of Contracts Manager:

  • You will be responsible for managing multiple construction contracts from pre start through to final account, working closely with site teams, commercial staff and senior leadership.
  • Full contract management across multiple live projects.
  • Coordinating with site managers and stakeholders to ensure programmes and contractual obligations are met.
  • Overseeing cost control, budgeting and forecasting to protect margin.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risk.
  • Managing change control and variations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and professional teams.
  • Preparing financial and progress reports for senior management.
  • Managing contract close out and final account processes.

This is a hands on role suited to someone commercially sharp, organised and confident managing both operational and financial aspects of construction delivery.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years experience within construction project or contract management.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and project financial control.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving ability.
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance.
  • Confident communicator across all levels.

Desirable:

  • Construction related degree.
  • Trade background such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing or brickwork.
  • Experience within small to mid sized contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations.
