We are seeking a professional and reliable 7.5-tonne (must have CPC) multidrop driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on commercial driving and delivery operations.
Duties
- Conduct daily pre-operational vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Safely operate a 7.5-t lorry for multiple deliveries across various locations
- Manage and execute multidrop deliveries in accordance with scheduled routes and deadlines
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to report progress or any issues encountered during routes
- Follow all road safety laws, company policies, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with vehicle maintenance reports and minor repairs as required
Requirements
- Valid CPC is essential
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferred but not essential
- Delivery driver experience in a multidrop environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and road safety standards within the UK
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
Working environment
Monday to Friday 45 hours per week one Saturday in 8. 7.5t Driver position rate of pay £13.95 per hour (which equates to £32,643.00 per annum), time and a half will apply after 45 hours.
