The CCS Team currently seeks a Technical Business Analyst with skills in programming and databases, a keen interest in process optimization, and a structured approach to problem solving. The business environment is complex and there are many processes that require deep analysis followed by end-to-end automation. We are seeking leaders who can help further enhance the performance of the organization, by applying their creativity, and by making use of familiar tools and new tools in the marketplace.
The candidate's responsibility will span across almost all facets of MSFS, working with various groups on such projects. Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) provides fund administration services to the world's leading hedge funds. MSFS has around 1300+ professionals globally, of which 700+ employees work out of India. Our offices are spread in New York, Dublin, London, Glasgow, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hong Kong.
Product Development (PD) function within Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) is the change & transformation think tank that works with the fund services business to establish overall strategy and priorities for the technology products and platforms. The current opening is for the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) Team which is part of Product Development function. The CCS Team develops tools to resolve complex business problems that are overwhelming and error-prone if handled manually by front-line colleagues.
What will you be doing?
- Liaise with executive management & business users across locations to understand/document business requirements, detail the use cases & propose solution options.
- Design & develop a solution which is flexible to incorporate changes and scalable.
- End-to-end ownership of the tools built for client processes.
- Envisioning scenarios and take steps to incorporate them in the solution.
- Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the use cases and scenarios are properly documented & analyzed.
- Create & manage project plans, call out risks & issues proactively, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefits.
- Create training plans & provide training to team members & users as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant engineering or finance degree or equivalent certification such as CFA would be looked upon favorably.
- Demonstrated programming/coding skills in any one language such as VBA, Python, SQL or equivalent.
- Demonstrated interest and skills in technology and process management.
- Knowledge of databases, database concepts with ability to handle large datasets will be a plus.
- Project management skills with ability to take ownership & lead projects independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as part of focused globally distributed teams, in a complex matrix environment.
