We are seeking someone to join our team as an HR Business Partner, Vice President to provide generalist HR advisory across the EMEA Capital Markets (GCM) division as well as the Professionals across IBD and GCM, reporting into the lead HRBP for IBD and GCM.
The IBD/GCM team supports approximately 900 employees and currently comprises an Executive Director, a Director, and an Associate. This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the business as well as become involved in ad-hoc project work as required.
What You’ll Do In The Role- Relationship Management
- Partner with GCM Group Heads to effectively implement the Talent strategy.
- Operate as a collaborative member of the EMEA IBD/GCM team.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal HR colleagues to ensure cohesive HR service delivery to the business.
- Employee Relations
- Work with the business to interpret and apply Morgan Stanley policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with managers & legal counsel to manage redundancy processes.
- Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations issues.
- Influence managers to effectively manage performance, conduct, and compliance issues.
- Resourcing
- Work with the business around international relocations to ensure best practice and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with the Experienced Recruitment and Campus Recruitment teams to manage permanent hires.
- Talent Management
- Coach managers on performance feedback and manage the performance evaluation process.
- Collaborate with the business and global HR counterparts to effectively manage cyclical processes.
- Work with Talent Development on selection for leadership programmes and to attract and develop junior and diverse talent.
- Diversity & Inclusion
- Work collaboratively with the business to encourage the attraction and development of diverse populations.
- Lead on D&I initiatives for GCM.
- Reward And Compensation
- Contribute to the smooth delivery of the Analyst Year End compensation process.
- Collaborate with the wider department during the Year End compensation processes.
- Stay abreast of market developments to provide valuable market insight.
- Lead the completion of monthly audits.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- CIPD qualification preferred.
- A proven background within HR in financial or professional services, or an international environment.
- Ability to manage and develop relationships within matrix management structures.
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication at all levels.
- Able to influence and persuade clients and colleagues.
