About the role: All HGV Driver roles involve standard working hours Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised cargo across the Northern Ireland area using curtain-sided vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure safe and legal operation at all times.
- Plan and manage routes efficiently, reporting any significant deviations and supervising safe loading/unloading of goods.
- Promote resource conservation, including fuel and equipment.
- Serve as a professional company representative in all interactions with clients, the public, and colleagues.
- Follow all legal requirements and company policies, providing clear proof of delivery and communicating any issues or incidents promptly.
About you: As a HGV Driver, you will hold a full UK driving licence with Category CE (Class 1). Ideally, you will have experience as a HGV/Class 1 but it is not essential, as we provide a thorough induction programme for the right candidate. Excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional manner are essential. You will be expected to maintain your vehicle in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times. ADR and/or a forklift licence is desirable but not required.
