Class 1 and 2 Driver – Are you an HGV Driver looking for a new opportunity If so we are currently recruiting for a HGV Driver (Class 1 and Class 2) to join our Ipswich, Suffolk team! Fantastic Company Benefits Include: Competitive Salary: On offer is a salary of £35,800 – £42,000 per annum – depending on overtime and experience Employee extras such as: Employee wellness programme, company events and networking opportunities as well as support in professional growth and career advancement About the role: As a HGV Driver (Class 1 and Class 2) roles involve standard working hours Monday – Friday. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised cargo across the Suffolk area using curtain-sided vehicles. Key responsibilities include: Carry out daily vehicle inspections, report any defects, and ensure the vehicle is operated safely and legally at all times. Plan and manage routes efficiently, report any major deviations, and oversee the safe loading and unloading of goods. Support efficient use of resources, including fuel and equipment. Act as a professional representative of the company in all dealings with clients, members of the public, and colleagues. Comply with all legal requirements and company policies, and provide accurate proof of delivery while promptly reporting any issues or incidents. About you: As a HGV Driver (Class 1 and Class 2), you will hold a full UK driving licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement and a current CPC. Ideally you will have experience as a HGV (Class 1 and Class 2) but it is not essential, as we provide a thorough induction programme for the right candidate. You will have excellent communication skills and a polite, professional manner. You will be expected to maintain your vehicle in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times. ADR and/or a forklift licence is desirable but not required.
