Lombard Odier Investment Managers (“LOIM”) is the asset management business of the Lombard Odier Group. In order to strengthen our Stewardship team, we are looking for an Engagement Analyst. As an Engagement Analyst, you will report to the Head of Stewardship and play a key role in executing our engagement activities, one of the pillars of LOIM’s sustainability approach alongside proxy voting. Your work will help hold companies accountable on critical issues such as the sustainability transition, corporate governance, and corporate responsibility. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the development of LOIM’s stewardship strategy.

YOUR ROLE

  • Lead the engagement workflow for individual and collaborative engagements: select candidates, research companies, define objectives, launch and track engagements, escalate when needed, link engagements with proxy voting, and close engagements.
  • Conduct research using company reports, proprietary frameworks, and external data sources.
  • Manage and deliver engagement reporting at fund, quarterly, annual, and client-specific levels.
  • Monitor corporate governance standards, regulatory developments, and best practices.
  • Support client requests (RFPs, DDQs) in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Contribute to defining annual engagement objectives and campaigns aligned with LOIM’s sustainability and investment goals.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across investment teams (equity and fixed income), operations, business development, finance, risk, legal, marketing, and client teams.
  • Take initiative to improve internal processes and optimize workflows.
  • Integrate and manage data effectively, including querying and creating dashboards.

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 3 years of experience in investment stewardship and engagement, with proven ability to manage campaigns and reporting.
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Law, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of stewardship and engagement best practices across climate, nature, and social topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior executives of investee companies.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and numeracy.
  • Advanced data management and integration capabilities (including dashboards and collaboration tools).
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and build productive relationships.
  • Ideally, experience in proxy voting and engagement framework design.
  • Fluency in English; French and German are a plus.
