We are seeking an experienced Head of Litigation with at least 10 years PQE to join our in-house legal team. This is a hands-on, senior role for a confident litigator with a strong track record in property disputes, who is comfortable managing complex matters independently while shaping the strategic direction of the department.
You will lead a varied caseload of property-related litigation, working in-house under the banner of a recognised law firm, and have the opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload of property litigation matters, primarily relating to breach of contract
- Handling both residential and commercial property disputes, including leasehold matters
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, witness statements and settlement agreements
- Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations and negotiations
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless client service
- Keeping up to date with developments in litigation and property law
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales
- Minimum of 10 years’ PQE with substantial experience in property litigation
- Strong background in both residential and commercial property disputes
- Proven experience dealing with leasehold matters
- Rights of audience
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Able to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
- Proactive, solution-focused and commercially minded
This role is suited to a dynamic individual who enjoys responsibility, takes a practical approach to problem-solving and is comfortable leading from the front. This is a fully office-based role and requires daily attendance at our offices. Hybrid or remote working is not available for this position.
